India is Agricultural country. Even today about 60 to 65 percent of the people in the country and Maharashtra are depended on agricultural livelihood of people in rural areas depends on agricultural about 67 lakhs farmer families in Maharashtra own only one hectare of land 40 lakhs farmers family own only one to two hectares of lands. There are about 22 lakhs farmers with an area of two to four hectares. Seven lakhs farmers have four to ten hectares of land, and very few farmers have more than ten hectares of land. Many hundreds of this areas depend on rain water. So there is no guarantee of getting a reliable product as limited land area is available and irrigation facilities are not abundant it is necessary to think how to get more production from this area.
